FAQ Home General FAQs Can I Change My Registered Email?

Can I Change My Registered Email?

MT5 Accounts:

  • If you have only MT5 accounts, you are allowed to request an email change. This can be done by reaching out to customer support, and the process will be completed without any major restrictions.

ThinkTrader Accounts:

  • For ThinkTrader accounts, changing the email is generally not possible, and you will be required to continue using your current email address. However, there are certain exceptions where an email change might be allowed:
    • If you have a ThinkTrader account but have never traded on it.
    • If your ThinkTrader account is inactive or has failed (i.e., no longer usable).

If your ThinkTrader account has been actively traded, or if you don’t fall under the exceptions mentioned above, an email change cannot be processed, as the ThinkTrader platform does not support email updates once trading activity has occurred.

Important Note: While ThinkTrader does not officially support changing emails, we try our best to accommodate customers in specific situations. If the conditions are met, we can update your email on our system’s front end, meaning your new email will be reflected in your profile. However, your old email will still be associated with any past accounts, and those accounts will remain linked to the original email.

Moving forward, any new accounts purchased or issued will be associated with the updated email, but your previous accounts will still stay under your old email in our system. Although this isn’t the ideal solution, it allows us to support customers to some extent.

For long-term convenience, we strongly recommend using an email that you have continuous access to, as the ThinkTrader platform makes it difficult to replace or change email addresses.
