What is the difference between Bolt and Bolt Flex?
Bolt and Bolt Flex are both instant funding plans with a 3% daily drawdown. Bolt measures drawdown from equity, so floating profits and losses count, and has a 6% trailing maximum drawdown, a 6% first-payout target and a 20% best-day cap. Bolt Flex measures from balance, with a 7% maximum drawdown, a 7% target and a 25% cap.
| Rule | Bolt | Bolt Flex |
|---|---|---|
| Daily drawdown | 3%, from the day's closing equity | 3%, from the day's closing balance |
| Maximum drawdown | 6%, trailing the highest equity | 7%, trailing the highest balance |
| First-payout target | 6% | 7% |
| Consistency rule | Best day ≤ 20% of the total profit from the cycle's profitable days | Best day ≤ 25% of the total profit from the cycle's profitable days |
| Account sizes | $2,500 to $100,000 | $2,500 to $50,000 |
| Price from | $39 | $59 |
What the difference means in practice
Example: a $50,000 account has a $50,000 balance and a trade floating +$1,000 at the 5 PM ET reset. On Bolt, the next day's floor is set from equity: $51,000 − $1,500 = $49,500. On Bolt Flex, the floor ignores the floating profit: $50,000 − $1,500 = $48,500. With the trade floating −$1,000 instead, Bolt's floor drops to $47,500, while Bolt Flex's stays at $48,500.
On Bolt, a floating profit that reaches the lock point locks the maximum drawdown floor straight away. On Bolt Flex, only closed profit moves or locks the floor.
What is the same
Both plans share the same payout cycle, $100 minimum withdrawal, 80% profit split (90% with the add-on), leverage schedule, news rule (10-minute window, no add-on), Weekend Holding add-on, inactivity rule and platform. They also share one account limit: one active account per size across both plans, $192,500 combined, scaling to $500,000 combined.
