How Does the Minimum Profitable Trading Days Rule Work?
The Minimum Profitable Trading Days rule ensures that traders demonstrate consistent profitability before certain milestones, such as receiving a payout.
A profitable trading day is counted only when:
- You close the day with at least 0.5% profit based on your account balance at the start of the day.
- Your overall account balance is above your initial starting balance (the balance you began with when the account was first issued).
If your account is still below the initial starting balance, even if you make 0.5% profit that day, it will not be counted as a profitable trading day.
Lightning, Dual Step and Nexus (funded accounts)
- You need a minimum of 3 profitable trading days per payout interval.
- These days do not need to be consecutive, but each one must meet both criteria above.
- The rule applies to funded accounts only. It is not applied during the challenge stage.
- The payout interval is 14 days, counted from the first funded trade (weekly with the Weekly Payout add-on).
Bolt Plan
- Bolt has no minimum profitable trading days requirement.
- The first payout requires 6% profit and the 20% Best-Day Consistency Cap. Later payouts have no profit target.
- Payouts are every 14 days, counted from the first funded trade, or on demand with the On-Demand Payout add-on.
Impact on Payouts
On Lightning, Dual Step and Nexus funded accounts, you must meet the Minimum Profitable Trading Days requirement for every payout interval. If it is not met, the withdrawal option stays unavailable until the requirement is fulfilled. This means that even if you have overall profits, you won’t be able to request a payout until you have the required number of profitable days.
